Scope and content

CERN, ETH Zürich and Imperial College London are among the world’s leading scientific institutions, and their collaboration played a key role in advancing particle physics.  In the 60s and 70s, these institutions joined and contributed on designing and construction of the Omega spectrometer, one of the most revolutionary tools of its time. This partnership did not end with the construction of the spectrometer, it continued with major research effort, with CERN and ETH Zürich forming one of most the significant collaborations of that time. This collaboration is important for CERN success.
