Werner Beusch (1930-2024) was a Swiss physicist who worked on the OMEGA project at CERN from the late 1960s until his retirement in 1995, just before the OMEGA spectrometer was decommissioned. The project was a group of physicist and engineer called the “Omega Project Working Group”. He was one of Paul Scherrer's students at ETH Zürich, he obtained his PhD in 1960 with a thesis on “Two photon transitions in barium-137”. He died in 2024.
